Are you already quite skilled in surfing but looking to make real progress? Then join the Surf Coaching Weeks and receive guidance from the best surfers from the Netherlands and Belgium. With video analyses, surf training, and plenty of free surf sessions, they will help you improve your surfing skills. All of this takes place in and around our beautiful SURFinn villas where you can undoubtedly relax.
The rooms are equipped with comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, and always a lovely garden to unwind after a long day.

The surf duo Nalu and Sjoerd have joined forces to create a surf coaching platform aimed at guiding and coaching emerging talent in Europe. However, they are also eager to use their expertise to help intermediate surfers take the next step. So, take this opportunity to benefit from the knowledge of these experts during the coaching weeks. You’ll see improvements in no time in your take-off, down-the-line surfing, and turns.
Nalu Daniels
Nalu grew up between Oahu, Hawaii, and Redondo Beach, California, in a true surf family. He started surfing at the age of 4 and was immediately hooked. Soon, he began competing in local competitions, the NSSA, and his high school surf team. After success in ProAm competitions, he transitioned to the university team at the University of California Santa Barbara. Following a back injury, he shifted his passion towards a coaching career, using his extensive surfing experience to train the next generation of surfers.

Sjoerd Tummers
Sjoerd is an experienced surf coach from the Netherlands, with a background in coaching the national team during the ISA World Surfing Games and Eurosurf. With a degree in Sports Management and his experience in both coaching and sports management, he helps surfers push their limits. Sjoerd is known for his personal yet professional approach and is constantly seeking innovative ways to improve surf coaching, both technically and tactically.

In Portugal, you can choose from multiple locations: SURFinn Lisbon, SURFinn Algarve, and SURFinn Figueira da Foz.
Our stunning SURFinn Figueira da Foz boasts the most impressive ocean views of them all. From almost every room, you have a direct view of Europe's longest point break, Buarcos. Additionally, you'll find many fantastic and accessible beach breaks in the immediate vicinity. Figueira da Foz is the undiscovered surfing gem between Porto and Lisbon and the perfect base for an exciting coaching week!
SURFinn Algarve is situated right on the beautiful Praia Monte Clerigo on the west coast of the Algarve in Southern Portugal. Well-known spots like Arrifana, Sagres, and the south coast are within easy reach and will certainly be explored during a week at the SURFinn.

Surf
The surf coaching weeks are led by the best surfers from the Benelux. Starting from Sunday, we will begin with daily surf sessions. There will be sessions where the coaches are on the beach (often with a camera for video coaching analyses) and can provide focused intensive surf coaching. Additionally, there will be plenty of opportunities for free surfing, with the surf coaches joining you in the water to surf together.
Apart from the surf sessions, there will be a lot of emphasis on theory, video analysis, board talk, forecast training, and lifestyle tips.
This week, you will make serious progress in your surf performance, surf a lot, and above all, have a great time with a small and enthusiastic group!

Food
Every day, an extensive breakfast buffet awaits you. You can choose from various types of bread, toppings, and muesli. Often, the hosts also provide an extra surprise at breakfast :). Coffee, fruit juices, water, and tea are unlimited.
If there's an early morning session planned, we'll provide a pre-breakfast snack so you don't hit the water on an empty stomach. After this session, you can still expect a delightful breakfast.
Lunch can be prepared as a picnic using items from the breakfast buffet.

Activities
When the waves are not cooperating, you won't have a dull moment at our locations. Play ping pong, darts, or take a dip in the SURFinn's pool and enjoy a fun game of water volleyball. Feel like going for a nice walk? Step out the front door and take a beautiful hike along the cliffs in the Algarve, the dunes and more in Vieux Boucau, or explore Lisbon city from the Surfbase.
Looking for a quieter activity? At all locations, you can find a cozy corner to read a book, and we also have various chill-out spots in the garden and bar where you can completely unwind.

Portugal
For SURFinn Figueira da Foz and SURFinn Algarve, we recommend flying to Lisbon or Faro. Various airlines operate flights from Amsterdam, Eindhoven, Brussels, and even Dusseldorf Weeze (just over the border) to Lisbon and Faro. For Algarve and Lisbon, we suggest renting a car via platforms like rentalcars.com. This way, you can quickly reach the surfhouse from the airport and explore the local surf spots throughout the week.

France
You can also travel to Vieux Boucau by plane. Check flights to Bordeaux (about a 1.5-hour drive from Vieux Boucau) or Biarritz (a 30-minute drive from Vieux Boucau). There are fewer flights to this region compared to Portugal, so we recommend going by car for France.
We'll create a WhatsApp group about three to four weeks before the start of the coaching so that all participants can rent a car together from the airport or arrange carpooling to France, for example. Sharing is caring!
(During the week, carpooling will also be organized to go to other spots than our home spots. We expect that the costs will be shared among participants.)
