Our Surf and Mindfulness Weeks are exactly what you're looking for. During this week, you can not only enjoy surfing but also participate in various workshops and extensive yoga sessions. During the workshops, you'll gain insights into mindfulness, meditation, breathing exercises, and other techniques to connect more deeply with yourself. All of this is combined with plenty of surfing, invigorating yoga, and delicious food in a beautiful surf house, creating the ultimate surf and relaxation vacation. Together, we aim for both relaxation and excitement, inspired by awareness and unforgettable surf adventures. Let the waves take you on a journey to a deeper connection with both yourself and the ocean.

Our magnificent SURFinn Figueira da Foz sets the stage for our Surf & Mindfulness week. This beautiful villa offers the most impressive sea view of them all. In the spacious living room, there is ample space to organize yoga classes and workshops, while you can relax by the pool in the garden. From most rooms, you can enjoy panoramic views of Europe's longest point break, Buarcos. In the immediate vicinity, you'll find numerous beautiful and accessible beach breaks. Moreover, from the house, you can easily explore nature for relaxing walks in the forest or to enjoy the sea.

One, introduction
During the first workshop, we will practice a series of postures suitable for meditation. We will explore what meditation entails and have an initial introduction to the body scan and connecting with your breath.
Two, Meditation
During the second workshop, you will learn how to integrate mindfulness into your daily life. You will receive practical tips that you can apply during activities such as gardening, walking, or even while waiting for a set of waves during surfing.

Surf
Figueira da Foz is the ideal destination for surfers of all levels, whether you're a beginner, have some experience, or fall somewhere in between. Our surf lessons are flexible and tailored to your skills, making them accessible to everyone.
Our experienced surf coaches will teach you everything about surfing techniques, using surf gear, and how waves form during your surf vacation. With our comprehensive surf package, you'll be able to catch your first waves within a week, even as a beginner. For more advanced surfers, we also offer lessons. During the intermediate lessons, you'll learn how to improve your skills and build on your previous progress without starting from scratch. And even outside of lessons, you can continue surfing because the use of surf equipment is included when taking surf lessons.
During the Surf and Mindfulness week, you can decide whether you want to take surf lessons or prefer to surf independently.

During the Surf and Mindfulness week, you can enjoy 4 extensive yoga sessions. These sessions allow you to fully relax your body and recharge yourself for the next surf session.
In the spacious living room of SURFinn Figueira da Foz, there is plenty of space to practice yoga while enjoying a beautiful view of the sea. Our Yogi Anke will lead the sessions. Expect a beautiful mix of both active and challenging yoga flows as well as profound reflection and gentleness for yourself during the sessions. Learn how to use your breath to (re)connect with yourself and your body. The sessions are accessible to all levels and can be adapted to each individual's unique body.

During the Surf and Mindfulness week, you'll start each morning with a fresh breakfast buffet. Our hosts will delight you with crispy bread, a selection of delicious toppings, fresh fruit, creamy yogurt, and tasty muesli. Sometimes, even a local delicacy might be on the menu.
Enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee or a steaming cup of tea while overlooking the waves slowly approaching closer. The view is truly breathtaking!
For lunch, you can put together a picnic using the ingredients from the breakfast buffet.

The Coach
Hello, I'm Anke! I'm passionate about movement and its healing power for both the body and mind. My journey with yoga began at the age of fourteen, and since then, I've increasingly found my way to the yoga mat. After a stressful period in my life, during which I experienced panic attacks and health issues, yoga offered me confidence in my body and peace in my mind. I wish this feeling for everyone.
That's why since 2015, I've pursued various yoga trainings. Today, I'm a registered yoga instructor with the Yoga Alliance, with over 700 hours of training. My passion is guiding people in their yoga practice every day.
In October 2022, I also opened my own boutique yoga studio in Wemmel: The Yoga Penthouse (@theyogapenthouse on Instagram). In addition to my work as a yoga teacher, I'm currently studying osteopathy at the College Sutherland in Amsterdam and providing integrative body massages.

Planning a surf vacation to Portugal typically starts with air travel. Porto and Lisbon are both convenient airports, located about 1.5 hours' drive from Figueira da Foz. This gives you various options to find affordable airfare. Websites like skyscanner.nl provide a convenient overview of ticket prices from various airlines. Once you've found a suitable ticket, it's best to book directly through the airline's website.
From Eindhoven, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Brussels, and Charleroi, there are regular flights to both Porto and Lisbon available.
